Library & Resources

Since its inception in 2001 MATA has built up and compiled a wealth of learning resources in its library.

The MATA library contains many papers, articles, case studies and media resources covering all aspects of mediation and the development of mediators.

As part of the MATA approach and philosophy we always make our library available to our community members and hope that this valuable resource will help you develop your thinking and skills in Mediation.

We simply ask that should you use any of the resources available that you give clear attribution to the author who wrote the piece and give recognition to MATA and its members.

In this library you will find links to the following wealth of knowledge and learning:

Papers and articles on mediation

The papers and articles in this section of the library have been used to further delegates learning in the many courses that have run in the last ten years. Some of these items have been published in books and others are papers which have been produced and utilised on courses which have been run by MATA in the past.

Case Studies

Case studies are a very valuable learning aid on courses such as the mediation training course and time-limited mediation courses. They are a tried and tested method of demonstrating to delegates how the mediation process works and gives delegates first hand experience of the process by allowing them to get involved with the use of role-play.

Mediation Mastery Online Community

This is our most recent addition to the MATA partnership. The Mediation Mastery area  is our new way of keeping in touch with our community and most importantly allowing you – our community members – to keep in touch with MATA. We aim to do this regularly updating the Mastery Blog and our- Mediation Mastery Area. To make use of this facility go to our sister website – mediationmastery.org.uk – our community where we can share news, views and knowledge on a regular basis.
